Come on in…
Welcome to my little corner of cyberspace. My name is B.D. Bolin, and I am a writer. In theory for now, but hopefully soon my scrawlings will be encased in print for all eternity. I can see it now, armies of black-clad teenagers holding dog eared copies of my novels, the meaningful passages about the futility of love and the mediocrity of conformity underlined in jet black ink.
Then again, I could just as well be in the $5.00 cut-out bin at Borders. But I’ll take my chances.
I live in the Sacramento area, in a rustic little suburb called Roseville. I once heard my little burg described as “like Stepford, only less friendly to pedestrians.” Sadly, it’s true. Roseville is a clump of land with chain-stores growing out of it like tumors, and peopled with men who look like they stepped out of a J Crew catalog, and mothers with breast implants and bleach blond ponytails tucked through the backs of their fitted baseball caps. But it also has beautiful, well maintained parks, a low crime rate, and is spitting distance from my day job, so I think I’ll stick around.
This space will be mostly for me to muse about what I’m working on, what I’m reading, what’s inspiring me (or driving me crazy), and whatever I need to get off my chest, share, or start a dialog with you about.
So comment, already. Let’s do this together, eh?
Cheers-
BDB
